| In One Ear (and Out the Other) In one ear and out the other No reaction when I tell her that I love her Ignorance must be bliss ‘Cause it’s like I don’t exist It’s in one ear and out the other She’s in love with another She don’t care about the spell she put me under “I love you” is just 3 words And she pretends she never heard me It’s in one ear and out the other Does she not hear me speak? Or is she blind? Am I dead to her? Or is she that unkind? She’d rather stare straight at the ceiling Than acknowledge my feelings Once I was the only man In her eyes Now it’s too much to ask Just to be recognized It’s not like I speak some foreign language She's causing me mental anguish It’s in one ear and out the other I’m just her invisible ex-lover My words don’t mean a thing In the new life she’s living It’s in one ear and out the other It’s in one ear and out the other ©2005 Michael B.
