My Bride-to-Be (Got Cold Feet)

My bride-to-be got cold feet
She don't wanna marry me
No no

A hundred ten invited guests
Won't get to see her wedding dress
No no

Reverend John gives me a sympathetic frown
I'm sure the news, by now, has spread throughout the town
I didn't make her happy
I didn't suit her needs
And at the altar, she made a fool of me

My bride-to-be got cold feet
She don't wanna marry me
No no

She took off on a Greyhound bus
She don't see no hope for us
No no

She gonna hear it from her disappointed mom and dad
They're both crying now 'cause they won't get their money back
That gorgeous wedding cake
They'll never get to taste
They'll never get to see me smash it in her face

Look at all the gifts on the table
One by one, they'll be taken away
By our wonderful family friends
Who just wanted to share our happy day

My best man is missing from the wedding party
He just called me up to tell me that he's sorry
They had flirted once or twice
Thought she was just being nice
But they went and fell in love instead

My bride-to-be got cold feet
She don't wanna marry me
No no

She took off on a Greyhound bus
She don't see no hope for us
No no

My bride-to-be got cold feet
She don't wanna marry me
No no

She took off on a Greyhound bus
She don't see no hope for us
No no

My bride-to-be got cold feet
She don't wanna marry me
No no
